Endless Muffin Quest : Piankhi Zimmerman

This piece is composed of four screens. Each showing the same thing (clips from my Crouching Muffins, Hidden Sandwich Movies), but with different properties. The upper left screen displays the movie clips as they were created. The screen below that shows the clips with a negative contrast. The screen to the right of that one shows the clips with a higher saturation. The screen above that is the most unique. It shows the starting points with their assigned properties of varying contrasts and saturations, and brightness. Each starting point is set to play backwards or forwards, fast or slow. To add to the craziness each clip plays with a different time duration. Form one starting point in the movies a clip could play for up to 20 seconds before it randomly changes to a new starting point with new settings. So you may only see a small part of a fight scene going backwards, or a chase going really fast. The music follows the video, giving unique and sometimes eerie sounds. Sometimes the sounds are completely different when hearing them fast or slow, or backwards. This way, it is rare to experience the same thing twice. You are also looking through four different perspectives, giving you the viewer a lot to compare and contrast.
