Fear Of A White Planet : Teague Clare

A natural media self-portrait - painting, sculpture or otherwise - can serve a wide number of functions as academic practice, demonstrative action of cultural qualities, historical record, ego device, and so on. Fear Of A White Planet is a non-traditional digital self-portrait through which I investigate the historical functions of the theme while additionally examining my own social position in a way that does not attempt to be enforce my own views on the audience.
While this is an examination possible through natural media, use of digital methods to create an immersive, real time and continually reactive installation of simulacrums of my personality allow me to take self-portraiture to a space where the viewer becomes of equal importance in the experience as do my own conceived notions of self.
