My Musical Connection is My Greater Strength : Elizabeth A. Santos
Hello, I’m Elizabeth! I will call myself, the Mesmerizer in Song. For years I’ve been taking vocal and piano lessons here and there with extremely long breaks in between. This video depicts some of my musical quests, challenges, successes and processes to develop musically. Even though, I am not fully developed, I am committed to my spiritual blueprint divinely designed for me.
I discovered my love for music as a child listening to my Mom sing to the family as we sat around the fire keeping warm. As a little girl, I didn’t realize music would be my most passionate and fulfilling connection. I became aware that the lyrics spoke to my heart, the words explained my feelings and gave me a sense of comfort and peace of spirit attentively listening to my Mom sing.
After prayerfully evaluating and re-evaluating my connection with my spiritual purpose in my adult life, I realized music, especially singing, was my passion and heartfelt gift, as well as other undeveloped talents. My serious musical quest and endeavor began when I was around 20 years old. I learned about the diaphragm and breathing techniques taking singing lessons. A vocalist coach told me that when a person has been singing improperly, it was harder to teach the person because the teacher would have to un-teach the person the mistakes and then re-teach the person the correct methods. Therefore, I became apprehensive to venture out on my own. However, I am energized because I know being obedient to my divine blueprint and divine plan, I will attain and do everything God has ordained for me to attain and wants me to do.
Today, my mother’s memory lives on my heart and is my encouragement to continue pursuing my dreams as a musician, a vocal recording artist.
