Who am I? : Jermaine Baltimore

On many occasions I have wondered what were people's perception of my personality. All of us exhibit various aspects of our personality to our family, friends, and other associates, but do these people really know who you are? After been exposed to your personality traits, what portrait will they construct of you?
This project enables the user to explore the extreme behavioral characteristics of my personality. The user will be given a selection of pre-recorded videos, audio and imagery that will all be used to compose their perception of my personality. This theatrical environment was constructed with the use of MAX/MSP/Jitter and includes three main display windows for video display that are layered on a block of background imagery. The user may view each video clip by keyboard selection or by the list of options in the set of drop-down menus. The row of video clips will all be played simultaneously as the user makes the selection to be viewed. The audio clips and background images are also made available by menus on the patch. All of the selections made by the user may be of relation or be totally contrasting, and may even alter the characteristics presented to be of a different meaning. However, all of the selections create a composite of who I am through their eyes.
