Vision in Two Spaces is a short romantic film, which emphasizes on how the main actor interact the relationship with the main actress through SMS for text messaging, MMS for sending and receiving photos and videos, packet switching for access to the internet. The topic has shown how media technology of cell phone can really create a sense of digital world. While two people in two different spaces can see, hear, and share same information. Therefore, the image of ideas and thinking can deliver back and forth any time, through cell phone or Internet. On the other hand, a lot of people do not use cell phone ability as much as possible, which they think phone is only limited in voice functions or they think it is expensive to share information through phones. However, cell phone probably is the second most important thing that everyone is carrying everyday besides his or her wallet. A screen of multimedia cell phone basically can be a person’s virtual world, which enables other virtual worlds to communicate while accompanying with the real time physical world. Therefore, the project has a purpose of showing how two people immerse into their screens while communicating. Not only that, this short film also temps to create a vision that the audiences can explore the idea of telepresence as in and out between physical world and virtual world. In short, the project is using Multimedia ability to demonstrate a Multimedia world through cell phone, which the characters in the movie and the audiences are all diving into the screens of “vision in two spaces.”
