This introductory course investigates aesthetic, technological, and socio-cultural concerns in multimedia through the creation of interactive digital artworks.
Students work independently on advanced projects with regular critiques and discussion that emphasize aesthetic, social, cultural, and technological issues relevant to multimedia practice.
Focuses on contemporary issues and techniques critical to the conceptualization, design, production and delivery of interactive multimedia.
Introduces compositional techniques for the application of real-time and interactive time-based forms in new media.
Provides an understanding of the emerging field of multimedia: its history, aesthetics, technologies, trends, and socio-cultural aspirations.
The application of artistic and production technique that focuses on authoring and the integration of digital media elements, including: image, sound, animation, video, and text.
Overviews the impact of digital technology on filmmaking and film narrative.
